TRICARE Young Adult (TYA) Prime is the premium-based managed health care option for young adults who have aged out of TRICARE and are under age 26.
Members can see any TRICARE network or non-network provider and are responsible for calendar year deductibles and cost-shares/copayments. TRICARE Retired Reserve (TRR) is a premium-based plan available to qualified Retired Reserve members, family members and survivors, offering health care coverage similar to TRICARE Select. TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) is a premium-based plan available to qualified National Guard and Reserve members, family members and survivors, offering health care coverage similar to TRICARE Select. Beneficiaries can see any TRICARE network or non-network provider and are responsible for calendar year deductibles and cost-shares/copayments.
TRICARE Select is a preferred provider option available to all TRICARE-eligibles except active duty service members. Beneficiaries enrolled in TPR have a primary care manager (PCM) and may require prior authorization and/or referrals for specialty care. Retired service members and their families are not eligible for TPR. TRICARE Prime Remote (TPR) provides health care coverage similar to TRICARE Prime for active duty service members and their families who are on remote assignment. TRICARE Prime is only available in certain areas and enrollees may require prior authorization and/or referrals for specialty care. TRICARE Prime enrollees have a primary care manager (PCM) and receive their care from a military hospital or clinic, also referred to as a military treatment facility (MTF), or the TRICARE network of civilian providers. Commonwealth and Edge have forged a great relationship throughout numerous UnityPoint Health projects. Commonwealth was thrilled to work with Edge Commercial, general contractor, on the construction of the UnityPoint Pathology Lab. Trevor’s experience and supreme attention to detail was an asset during this project. Trevor Schmidt was the foreman for the project. The CECM management team consisted of Travis Powell as Project Manager, Clint Bailey as Low Voltage Project Manager, and Dianna Merritt as Project Estimator/Coordinator. Additional aspects of this project included power for automated lab equipment, sealed fixtures, a room dedicated to the 150KVA UPS, and a 1,000KW generator.
UNITY POINT LAB PLUS
This design-build facility houses open office space plus dedicated lab space including specific areas for microbiology, toxicology, and pathology. The scope of work for this project consisted of expanding the electrical distribution, LED lighting, low voltage lighting controls, voice/data system, and a complete fire alarm system. Construction began in October 2018 and concluded in May 2019. The Ankeny facility located off campus from its prior home at Iowa Methodist Hospital is approximately 63,893 square feet. The Des Moines office is proud to announce the completion of the UnityPoint Health Pathology Lab.
